Leica V-LUX 30 - Touch Screen Camera

Leica one of the leading manufacture of cameras, lenses and other photo equipments. Its touch screen era and almost many of the digital products are using touch screen now-a-days. The greatest advantage of touch screen is “ease to use” and its fun too. Leica moved a step further and introduced touch screen digital camera. The model V-LUX 30 is the latest touch screen camera from Leica. There are many other brands which had released touch screen digital cameras. In this article we will discuss about Leica and in near future, i will cover other brand of digital cameras.

Leica is a 14.1 MegaPixel digital camera and hence you could capture high quality digital photographs. It supports zooming up to 16x using the physical zoom lens. Not only photo capture, you could use this Leica camera for capturing digital videos. It supports High Definition (HD) video recording allows you to record up to 1080i resolution (with 60 frames per second quality). The 16x zoom (24-384MM) shall be enabled for video recording also (even for HD video).

You could capture wide angle images as well macro-shots of a distance object. It comes with an integrated stereo microphone which helps to record/hear the audio while recording. The microphone is electronic wind noise filter enabled and hence it captures quality audio on out-door locations.

• Interestingly, this Leica camera has GPS feature. Generally, i have not seen digital cameras with GPS support and this camera stands unique here.
• It uses GPS feature to record the location where you capture the digital image/video. Usually, digital camera records date/time while taking photos, this touch screen camera records the geographical location.

This touch screen is 3″ in wider and its a normal LCD screen camera. This camera has a 3D mode which captures image pair from a sequence and stores in 3D format (MPO).

The cameras fast/continuous shooting mode helps you to capture a sequence of digital photographs on high resolution supporting up to 460K pixels.
